If temperament is foremost on your list of attributes for your next riding horse, Sabadilla should be the sire. He's an incredibly kind stallion who comports himself always as a gentleman and his get routinely inherit his bold gentleness. That's not to say you need to give up movement, for his offspring regularly receive high marks from Dr. Oulehla during the biennial Lipizzan evaluations. While scores of "10" are not uncommon for the trot, he's the sire of more horses with marks of "10" for canter than any other. Sabadilla's canter is relaxed, supple and bounding and seems to be a prepotent element of his genetics. Since the canter is a difficult gait to improve, even with good training, it makes sense to start with an excellent gait. Combine excellent movement with a calmness in new situations and you have the consummate competition horse. Indeed, Sabadilla was a successful competitor at Fourth Level before retiring to a life of propagating the species. What kind of temperament do you want in your next dressage prospect? The average evaluation score of Sabadilla's get is 82.28%. A list of Favory III Sabadilla's get and their evaluation scores is below.
